MiniTide® High Cell Density Bioreactor

MiniTide

MiniTide® bioreactor incorporates Tide Motion® technology in a compact and user-friendly design, ideal for optimizing cell culture conditions applicable to Tide Motion® technology across all scales. The purpose of MiniTide® is to enable a seamless transition from initial discovery stages to in-vivo studies, GLP compliance testing, clinical trials, and ultimately, commercialization.

Extracellular Vesicles / Exosomes

Exosomes with therapeutic potential can originate from many sources—primary tissues, cancer models, or immortalized cell lines —and their functional properties often vary widely. These differences are frequently shaped by culture conditions, which means that careful, empirical comparison is essential. The MiniTide® bioreactor is ideally suited to this type of exploratory exosome research. Its small, well-controlled working volume allows you to generate consistent, reproducible batches that are perfectly sized for screening, assay development, and diagnostic studies. This makes it far easier to evaluate how culture parameters influence exosome quality and to identify the most functionally potent exosome subsets.

MiniTide® Applications

  • Culture of anchorage-dependent cells on macrocarriers

How does MiniTide® work ?

The Tide Motion bioprocessing technique leverages the cyclical rise and fall of culture medium within a bioreactor to mimic the natural ebb and flow of a tidal environment. This gentle, cyclical motion fosters optimal aeration and nutrient exchange for adherent cell cultures. The process effectively replicates the alternating exposure to nutrients and oxygen that these cells experience in their native environment.
